‘Wordle’ Answer Today 1083 June 6th 2024 – Hints and Solution (6/6/24)
Wordle is a very popular word game that has gone viral due to the results being posted all over social media by players and the simplicity of the game. The aim is to guess the five-letter American English word in six guesses or less.
There are no initial clues given as to what the word could be, but once you have made a guess, the tiles will change colour letting you know more about the letters in the word. The three different colours the tiles could change to are grey, yellow, or green.
Grey indicates that the letter you guessed is not in the word at all, so you should avoid using it in future guesses.
Yellow indicates that the letter does appear in the word, but not in the position you have it in now.
Green indicates that you have guessed the correct letter and placed it in the correct location, which is the colour you want to see!
Wordle Game – How to Play
There is also a hard mode for the game in which you are forced to use any correctly guessed letters from the previous row in every guess you make.
You may already do this, but there are times when there are multiple answers for the Wordle and you need to guess a word that contains the potential letters to help you solve the Wordle, which you will not be able to do with this mode.
You can always turn it back off during the game as well if you find it too difficult.

Here is how I managed to solve Wordle 1083 in three guesses today. I guessed the word ‘AUDIO’ first, which is my usual starter word.
This was not a great starter word for today as no letters were revealed to be in the answer.

What kind of bug would make machine learning suddenly 40% worse at NetHack?
Members of the Legendary Computer Bugs Tribunal, honored guests, if I may have your attention? I would, humbly, submit a new contender for your esteemed judgment. You may or may not find it novel, you may even deign to call it a "bug," but I assure you, you will find it entertaining.
Consider NetHack. It is one of the all-time roguelike games, and I mean that in the more strict sense of that term. The content is procedurally generated, deaths are permanent, and the only thing you keep from game to game is your skill and knowledge. I do understand that the only thing two roguelike fans can agree on is how wrong the third roguelike fan is in their definition of roguelike, but, please, let us move on.

Being a difficult game full of consequential choices and random challenges, as well as a "single-agent" game that can be generated and played at lightning speed on modern computers, NetHack is great for those working in machine learning—or imitation learning, actually, as detailed in Jens Tuyls' paper on how compute scaling affects single-agent game learning. Using Tuyls' model of expert NetHack behavior, Bartłomiej Cupiał and Maciej Wołczyk trained a neural network to play and improve itself using reinforcement learning.

Bungie Warns Of Known Issues Ahead Of Destiny 2: The Final Shape Release
Most importantly, players who are taking on the Final Shape campaign in a fireteam should avoid joining missions in progress or swapping characters mid-campaign to ensure progress is correctly recorded.

In the final wait for Elden Ring's DLC, a modded Malenia is kicking the crap out of players – including Let Me Solo Her, who calls her "the strongest boss I've faced"
'Unalloyed Malenia' is, fittingly, a creation by MiquellaTheUnalloyed over on NexusMods. It's a complete overhaul of the base game boss that seeks to "significantly" increase the difficulty via brand new phases, animations, attacks, and more for what was one of Elden Ring's toughest bosses in the first place.
"I've been working on this Malenia... It's hard to say how long, probably more than half a year, though it didn't have a specific beginning and end," the modder writes on NexusMods. They've actually learned modding "almost from scratch" for this creation, and the general goal is to make Malenia a challenge for anyone who thinks they've got her down to a science in the base game.
Enter LetMeSoloHer. The famed Elden Ring player became known the world over for hopping into other players' Elden Ring playthroughs and decimating Malenia, often without taking a single hit. They became really famous roughly a year after Elden Ring first launched, and they're so legendary that publisher Bandai Namco went and sent them a freaking sword.
LetMeSoloHer faced off against Unalloyed Malenia roughly a month ago, and the fight was nothing short of terrific. The player calls them "the strongest boss I've faced," and in the video below, you can see why - in modded Malenia's first phase alone, there are plenty of new attacks to grapple with, including one that shoots deadly spears up in a line from the ground.
The entire thing is basically a game of executing perfect dodges for over 10 seconds before Unalloyed Malenia pauses briefly, and LetMeSoloHer can land an attack. The modded boss' basic attacks are pretty much a variation of the infamous Waterfowl Dance attack, but chained together near-endlessly so it gives the player barely any chance to strike back.
The second phase is nothing short of overkill. It's like Malenia's normal second phase, but with a ton of area-effecting attacks going on, one of which is Scarlet Rot, which LetMeSoloHer occasionally has to take a moment to stave off with some Preserving Boluses. You can definitely see why this is the strongest boss that LetMeSoloHer has ever faced.
If LetMeSoloHer is finding Unalloyed Malenia this hard, you can probably imagine how everyone else is faring. One streamer on Twitter wrote that they "hated" the boss, while the streamer below shows how Unalloyed Malenia parried them and then proceeded to stab their Tarnished to death. It's rough out there.

Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC releases later this month on June 21. I really hope there's something in there that can give these sickos something to rival Malenia.

Fallout: New Vegas director Josh Sawyer reveals which characters he took from Black Isle Studio's canceled Fallout 3
Sawyer's career got started at Black Isle, the legendary CRPG studio behind the first two Fallout games, and D&D RPGs like Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale. Towards the end of the studio's life, the team - including Sawyer - was working on what would have been Fallout 3, a project codenamed Van Buren. Black Isle would be closed down and the project canceled before it could be brought to life, but that didn't stop Sawyer from borrowing a few ideas for New Vegas several years later.
In an interview with Sector, Sawyer was asked what he brought to the Mojave from Van Buren. In response, he said that "there's a lot of stuff," although much of it was eventually modified. Citing fellow Black Isle developer Chris Avellone's work on Fallout 3, Sawyer notes, for example that "there were ideas like [major protagonist faction] Caesar's Legion that came over, although my interpretation of Caesar's Legion was very different from the design in the initial documents."
Individual characters also made the jump; Joshua Graham, the Burned Man, had a presence within Van Buren, but was also changed substantially; companion Arcade Gannon was originally a character that Sawyer played in an early tabletop campaign version of Fallout 3.
Sawyer notes that there were plenty of other, "big and small elements" that he pulled across, but that now, 14 years after the game's release and more than two decades since Van Buren's cancelation, "it's been so long that it's hard for me to remember." That, he explains, is "why I don't answer when fans ask me stuff online. It's gotten to the point where my memory is actually influenced by other people talking about it. And I don't even know if I'm telling the truth anymore."
With the rise of the Fallout TV show, Sawyer did have a reasonable amount to say about his time on New Vegas, particularly as its player counts climbed in the show's wake. From his vibes-based weapon design to his true RPG inspiration in the face of Fallout 3-related criticism, we learned an awful lot about the Mojave in the past couple of months.

My Baldur's Gate 3 party would hate this Destiny 2 D&D crossover and its mind flayer propaganda
Earlier this week, developer Bungie announced a collaboration with rights holder Wizards of the Coast to let Guardians "use their bardic inspiration on fashion rolls with all-new in-game cosmetics." Titans will get to enjoy the regal Draconic set, Hunters have the sweet Spectral Displacer set, and Warlocks can grab the ominous Flayer's Dominion set if they want to risk a tadpole swimming into their noggin. Not a cosmetic my Baldur's Gate 3 party would approve of.
An Adventurer's Pack Bundle also includes a Queen of Dragons ship, the Owlbear Chariot Sparrow, and the Eye Tyrant Ghost shell - and, elsewhere, the Bigby’s Fist finisher and the Natural 20 emote, "which will be randomly rolled each time it’s used, as the fates designed," will also be available.
All of the above can be bought in-game at the Eververse store after June 4, alongside the Destiny 2: The Final Shape expansion, which is concluding a 10-year saga for the shooter.
Guardians looking to take down the Witness might want to start preparing by, firstly, clearing a lot of space in your storage (up to 300GB on Steam), and secondly, avoiding The Final Shape spoilers that accidentally leaked via PS5's streaming service.
