Last week’s New York Toy Fair has now come and gone, but there are plenty of video game toys on the way for collectors this year.
As usual, New Jersey-based collectibles company NECA has licenses for several big properties, including BioShock Infinite and Gears of War 3. The license for BioShock Infinite was just announced at the show, and we spoke with director of product development Randy Falk about how involved Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine is and how we’ll likely see a range of items similar to NECA’s past line-up for BioShock and BioShock 2.
For Gears of War 3, we’re definitely getting detailed, seven-inch figures of Marcus, Dom, Baird, Cole, Anya and Carmine, which were completely made from scratch to represent their counterparts in the game. There’s also a high-end, full-color statue of Cole in his thrashball uniform that will be made available to fans. These products will be in stores this Fall near the game’s release date, and there will also be a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive figure, as well as more collectibles for Gears in 2012. But that's not all. There's a lot more stuff on the way. Read on for more.
