Before StarCraft 2 Director Dustin Browder's StarCraft as an eSport panel began, a community member named BisuDagger from TeamLiquid, StarCraft 2's largest fansite, took the time to speak with the man himself. He asked a variety of questions, but one of the most interesting pieces he learned from Browder was that Heart of the Swarm, StarCraft 2's first large expansion pack, is still about a year away.
"We are about a year away from completing the game. Making the game to fit an eSport makes it difficult to make interesting campaigns while keeping the game balanced."

It's good to know that the guys and gals at Blizzard are working hard to keep the title working as an eSport, but it stinks we're going to have to wait for at least another year for the game.
